New Addition!

In our tried and true fashion of keeping ourselves busy with lots of projects, we've started yet another home remodeling adventure. We're enclosing the upstairs loft into a fourth bedroom. Here's the framing of the wall:

We've got all the drywall up now, and I'm starting the taping and mudding process this weekend. So far the project is going well. Ok, you're probably asking, "Why would you go through all the trouble to add a new bedroom??"

Well, quite simply, because Melissa said we can't keep the new baby in the tool shed. So I have to make the loft into a bedroom.

YEP, THAT'S RIGHT, WE'RE HAVING ANOTHER BABY! :-)

Surprised? Well, we were too! But now we're very excited about our new little "addition". Melissa is already a few weeks into the second trimester, about 16 weeks along now. She's doing really well. This pregnancy has been really easy on her so far. No morning sickness or bad side effects. We're thinking since it is such a different feeling from the last pregnancy that it may be a little boy... but we'll have to wait a few more weeks to find out for sure. Here's the little ones first photo, a 3D ultrasound at 12 weeks old:

Melissa is starting to show a little now! The little one is due July 30, which will be really fun in 120deg heat! I may have to buy a few more air conditioners for the house... :-)
