More Belly and Baby Photos!

We've finally got around to uploading our photos online! We've got some great new black and white shots of Melissa and myself that we took and then edited in photoshop to look really professional. They came out really nice. Melissa's belly is growing bigger and more beautiful everyday. Alex is doing wonderfully. She is very strong and wiggles alot now. Over the Christmas break (at 31 weeks) we got our last set of 3D Ultrasounds done and we've also posted some of those pics. Alex actually smiled at us several times! She was even practicing her pouty lip too, just for me I'm sure... geez I'm in trouble! You can see her sucking on her little thumb too, she's gotten pretty good at that since the last ultrasound. Her head was down pretty low in the placenta, she was kinda wearing it like a hat, so it was hard to image her entire face. You'll notice that one side of her face is hidden.

Let's see, other big news, Melissa had a surprise (and I mean no frickin clue) baby shower last Sunday. Erin conspired with Lauralee (Melissa's old college roommate that just happened to move to Arizona as well!) to pull off a surprise baby shower for Melissa. I'm horrible at keeping secrets but I managed to keep this under wraps for almost two months and she never suspected a thing! I took her out for brunch on Sunday and then we she walked into the house when we got back she was greeted by a whole bunch of her girlfriends. We really got her good! From what I hear it was a great shower, everyone had lots of fun, and we now have all the baby stuff we need... but no where to put it all! I didn't stick around for the all the "ooohs" and "ahhhs" and "how cutes!" and all that girly stuff... I went to a friends house, drunk some beer and played video games... you know, manly type stuff! :-) Thanks to all you ladies that helped out with the shower, it was very much appreciated and Melissa feels very well loved! Once I get some more shower photos from the guests I'll upload some.

Well, it's only 5 weeks to go until I'm a daddy! I can't wait, it is getting pretty exciting now. I'll try to keep up the posts as best I can before all my spare time is spent catching up on lost sleep!
