SHE'S HERE EARLY!

Today has been the most memorable day of our lives... Our little daughter arrived early this morning, Feb 3, 2008 at 12:41am, Weighing 6lbs 13 oz, and 18.5in long! She is in wonderful health and is so adorably cute! She's also a bit early! We actually had head to the hospital and induce labor early because late last week Melissa began showing signs of pre-eclampsia, which is metabolic disorder which causes high blood pressure, among other things, and can come on suddenly late in pregnancy. Rest assured, the perfect cure everytime is having the baby, and Melissa is doing just fine and is quickly returning back to perfect health. It's been quite a rollorcoaster ride of emotions these last few days! Melissa still had a beautiful natural birth, as close to her orginal plan as possible. For an induction, it went very well, we started inducing about 3pm on Saturday and really starting decent labor about 6pm, so overall it went quiet fast. Anyway, I've only had about 2 hours of sleep in the last 24, so I'll leave all the rest of the details for another post. Just wanted to get some baby pictures out now so everyone could meet Alex! We'll probably be in the hospital (Banner Gateway) until Tuesday as Melissa recovers. Enjoy the photos!
