Landscraping Update

I know... it has been another long gap between updates, but we've been slaving away at our projects... and we haven't been on many exciting safari's lately, or been hit by any trucks ;-) ...but at least we've got some more neat photos to share.
...ok, no, they don't have any lions in them... (do kitties count?).

So just about all our spare time has been tied up into working on the backyard, and I'll have to say it is looking great so far. We've installed pavers, a retaining wall, and have a working [huge] fireplace now... and soon we'll have grass! Ok, that is a big deal in the desert, if you couldn't tell. Oh, and we planted these "snail vines" at the posts of the pergola... so apparently it was named after the flower and not the rate of growth... I swear they are on a mission to take over the whole house... they grow at least 6 inches A DAY! No joke! ...well, at least it is green!
